- Will it hurt?
- It is very manageable. We use a numbing step and the fillers themselves contain a local anesthetic, so most people feel pressure more than pain. Your comfort guides the pace throughout.
- How long does it take?
- Plan on about 45 minutes to an hour, including numbing and the consult portion. The injecting itself is a small part of the visit.
- Is there any downtime?
- Expect some swelling and possibly a little bruising for a few days, which is normal and settles. Many people go back to their day right away and let the lips relax into their final shape over one to two weeks.
- How long does it last?
- Typically six to twelve months, easing gradually as your body metabolizes the gel. It is not permanent by design, so your look can evolve with you rather than being locked in.
